Servicing of Double Insulated Appliances
A double insulated appliance is marked with one or more of the following: The words “DOUBLE
INSULATION” or “DOUBLE INSULATED” or the double insulation symbol (square within a square).
In a double-insulated appliance, two systems of insulation are provided instead of grounding. No
grounding means is provided on a double=insulated appliance, nor should a means for grounding be
added to the appliance. Servicing a double-insulated appliance requires extreme care and
knowledge of the system and should be done only by qualified service personnel. Replacement parts
for a double-insulated appliance must be identical to the parts they replace.
THIS APPLIANCE HAS A POLARIZED PLUG (ONE PIN IS WIDER THAN THE OTHER) TO REDUCE THE RISK OF
ELECTRICAL SHOCK. THIS PLUG IS DESIGNED TO FIT IN A POLARIZED OUTLET ONLY ONE WAY. IF THE PLUG
DOES NOT FIT FULLY INTO THE OUTLET, TRY THE PLUG THE OTHER WAY AROUND. IF THE PLUG STILL DOES NOT
FIT, CONTACT A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO ALTER, DISMANTLE OR FIND ANOTHER WAY
AROUND THIS SAFETY FEATURE.
WARNING! Read and understand all instructions. Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result
in electric shock, fire or serious personal injury. The warnings, cautions, and instructions discussed in this
instruction manual cannot cover all possible conditions and situations that may occur. It must be
understood by the operator that common sense and caution are a factor which cannot be built into
this product, but must be supplied by the operator.

Getting Started
BEFORE FIRST USE
IMPORTANT: Do not use the Carpet Cleaner as a dry vacuum.
Vacuum the carpet thoroughly.
Remove as much furniture from the room as possible. If unable to remove the furniture, place
plastic or foil under and around furniture legs until the carpet has completely dried.
Check for Color Fastness:
Before cleaning carpet, test for color fastness. Dampen a white cloth with carpet solution. Test a
small area in an inconspicuous place. Gently rub over the area. Check each color for color
bleeding. If the cloth remains clean, it should be safe to clean the carpet.
PREPARING THE CARPET CLEANER
Hold the handle of the clean water tank and press
“Clean Water Tank Release”. Tilt clean water tank
away from the Carpet Cleaner and remove.
Unscrew the tank cap from the bottom of the water
tank and fill with 2 teaspoons of cleaning solution.
Fill the remainder of clean water tank with warm tap
water to the MAX line. Replace cap.
Place bottom of clean water tank into the Carpet
Cleaner and push back until it locks into place.
NOTE: Any carpet cleaner solution available at your local retail or hardware store can be used
with this Carpet Cleaner. Please note you may need to modify the amount of cleaning solution
you use.
Plug cord into electrical outlet. Turn on the Carpet Cleaner by using the on/off switch
located on the side of the machine.
IMPORTANT: Never leave unit unattended with power on. Turn off before emptying and filling tanks.
